A Unique Housing Experience
Friends Housing was founded in 1952 by Quakers with a mission of creating affordable, urban housing for a diverse community. We are collectively owned by resident members who work together for the continual prosperity of the complex.
Friends Housing Cooperative comprises an entire city block of 1850's brick rowhouses which are by surrounding landscaped grounds. The open courtyard is the central feature of our community where movies, BBQs and celebrations are enjoyed by all.
Friends Housing Cooperative is located amidst the dynamic Northern Liberties and East Poplar neighborhoods, just minutes away from the Center City business and shopping district. We are on Septa Bus Route 47 and convenient to the Broad Street and Market-Frankford train lines.
